today’s note—good ol’ summertime

this picture was taken just a few weeks ago at my husband’s family farm in western Kansas.  while everyone was laboring hard getting ready for wheat harvest,  i was selfishly wandering around with my camera taking photos of what i think to be treasures of pure gold.

being raised in the city myself, i never cease to find new inspiration when i go out to the farmland.   i find not only new found appreciation for its unceasingly rich landscape, but also for the people……i guarantee the nicest and most hardworking folks you will ever meet.

so….the next time you are enjoying your toast….remember the hands that help to provide such bounty for us and the beautiful part of our world from which it came.
